Hav-a-Rest Campground

Located at 38463 US Hwy 212 W -- Hav-A-Rest Campground offers the following amenities:

  • 19 Camping Pads: 30-50 amp electricity
  • 2 Tent Areas
  • 2 Picnic Shelters
  • Water
  • Electricity
  • Fishing
  • Boat Launch for Redfield Lake
  • 2 Playground Facilities
  • Restrooms
  • Hav-A-Rest Park & Campground fees:  $20.00 per night effective immediately April 1, 2021




Camping Reservation

Open April 1st for the camping season.

You should be ready to make your reservation!

  • Under “Reserve a Facility” - Choose your Campsite Number/Letter
  • Online reservations can only be made up to 48 hours in advance from the website.
  • Otherwise reservations inside of that 48 hours will need to be made with the Parks and Rec office, or first come first serve at the campground.
  • You can transfer your reservation to another night but no refund will be given for a cancellation.

Facility is open April through mid-November and supervised by a Park Manager.

Redfield is the first recorded place in South Dakota to successfully introduce the Chinese Ringneck Pheasant. This lead to the first open season on October 30, 1919.  From Spink County, pheasant hunting grew throughout the state.  Hunters still flock to Redfield to bag their limit.
