Redfield Alerts:

Board of Directors

It is the goal of the Redfield Parks and Recreation Department to offer a diverse set of activities that provide opportunities to have fun and develop participants socially, psychologically, and physically. It is expected that participants learn fundamental skills as a team and listen to and respect coaches/instructors, other participants, and officials. Poor sportsmanship will not be tolerated by participants, fans, or coaches. Thanks for your support.

The Pheasant Capital of the World®

Redfield is the first recorded place in South Dakota to successfully introduce the Chinese Ringneck Pheasant. This lead to the first open season on October 30, 1919.  From Spink County, pheasant hunting grew throughout the state.  Hunters still flock to Redfield to bag their limit.
